    Short version: We do not collect any data from children. The only personal information we ever receive is your email address when you make a purchase — and that comes through Stripe, not us directly. No tracking, no ads, no data selling.

2. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Press to Say is a learning tool designed to be used by young children under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian. We take children's privacy seriously.

We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.
Children do not create accounts, log in, or submit any data to use this app.
All purchases are made by parents or guardians, not children.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it immediately.

3. Information We Collect

What we collect (very little):

Email address — only when you purchase lifetime access. This is processed by Stripe and used solely to verify your purchase and provide support.
Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

What we do NOT collect:

No names, phone numbers, or home addresses
No usage analytics or behavior tracking
No advertising identifiers
No location data
No data from children

4. How We Use Your Information

Your email address is used only to:

Verify your purchase and unlock full access
Respond to support requests you initiate
Send a receipt (via Stripe)

We do not send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional messages.

5. Local Storage

Press to Say stores a small unlock token in your browser's localStorage after purchase. This token stays on your device only — it is never transmitted to our servers. It is used to remember that you have unlocked full access. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.

The free trial counter (number of word-mode uses) is also stored locally in your browser and never sent anywhere.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The app does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party analytics service.

Cloudflare (our CDN and DNS provider) may set technical cookies for security and performance purposes. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Services

Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
Cloudflare — hosting and CDN. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
Web Speech API — text-to-speech runs entirely on your device using your operating system's built-in voices. No audio is sent to our servers.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties, except as necessary to process your payment (Stripe) or as required by law.

9. Data Retention

We retain your email address only as long as needed to support your purchase. If you request deletion, we will remove your information within 30 days. Contact: [email protected]

10. Your Rights (California / CCPA)

As a California resident, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we collect
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we don't sell it)

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
